Not Just A Stretcher…

Monday, March 29th, 2010

More and more customers are looking to make the dollar stretch further and for one piece of equipment do it all.  This is why it is important to consider your current use, future needs and budget when shopping for a new stretcher.  overstockme.com offers more than a dozen diffrent models from manufacturers such as Stryker, Techlem, Pedigo, Midmark and HillRom so there is no need to shop somwhere else.

Customers often ask how they can get more for less.  Well, one of the easiest ways to to purchase equipment that offers multi-modality use is when shopping for a stretcher.  One great example of this is the Stryker 1061 Gynnie OBGYN Stretcher.  This stretcher my look basic enough but the initial look is where this thought ends.  After transporting patients everywhere in the hospital this stretcher can turn into a mobile OB birthing bed.  It can then be used for all types of GYN exams and procedures.  After that with a quick fold of the leg extension and simply tucking away the retractable stirrups the Stryker 1061 goes back to work again with basic transport duties.

Talk about multi modality.  This stretcher can accommodate all the basic functions needed in a stretcher and also help a facility grow without another capital expense.  The Stryker 1061 can save time, money and space by doing more than just one job.

Not All Gas Benches Are Created Equal.

One benefit that is not as evident is the ability for the PM 9000e to Monitor a patients MAC values. MAC Values (minimum alveolar concentration of an inhaled anesthetic), provides anesthesiologists with a convenient mental model of anesthetic potency as a basis for clinical decisions. The Mindray PM 9000e patient monitor calculates MAC values for display on the monitor using the gas concentration measurements provided by Artema AION™ Module. Not only does the Artema provide the MAC value and Auto Agent ID, but it also has one of the most accurate MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) at a value of 40,000 hours. This is 8 times the average of our competitors systems such as Narkomed. This means the Mindray 9000e will have less down-time and a lower cost of ownership. In turn this will give you the ability to see more patients which will help your practice grow and become more profitable while offering your patients the highest level of care. This also means that your calibration will be only every 40,000 hours unlike other monitors which use the Narkomed Bench.
